Sensei Glenn Macias
Glenn Macias is a native San Antonian and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He began his passion for the martial arts at a young age, where he learned taekwondo and karate. In 1999, he developed his devotion for Judo under Sensei Rene Zeelenberg at Alamo Judo in San Antonio. After relocating his family to Austin, he continued his training in Judo as a volunteer with the University of Texas at Austin under the direction of Chris Ulcek. Glenn then became certified as a USA Judo coach with Gary Norton at Becerra Judo in 2009.

Glenn and the founders identified a need in the Central Austin for traditional Judo and collectively gathered the founding judoka members and formed what is now Kokoro Judo.

Since then, Glenn has achieved National level Coach and Kokoro Judo has produced several state and nationally ranked athletes. Kokoro Judo now operates at multiple facilities in the greater Austin community for youth and adults.
